Karen Word

Karen Word is a lifelong resident of Hendersonville, where she was born and raised. She began serving as the church’s first secretary in 2024 and brings both creativity and organization to her role. Karen is a graduate of Wingate University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Her most interesting and fun role following graduation was working as a Christian radio DJ at WRCM in Charlotte.She is married to her loving and devoted husband, David, and is the proud mother of two adult daughters, Kiera and Olivia. What she enjoys most about her role as church secretary is designing beautiful bulletins and announcements, as well as maintaining a highly organized and efficient office.
